SCaVa – Validazione dell’interazione sicura tra Robot e lavoratori in ambiente industriale
La collaborazione efficiente e sicura tra uomo e robot è destinata ad assumere un ruolo sempre più centrale nell’industria manifatturiera europea. Grazie all’utilizzo combinato di soluzioni meccatroniche e sistemi di rilevamento ottici, Datalogic SpA ha messo a punto un sistema di protezione innovativo caratterizzato da 2 stereocamere capaci di rilevare il braccio e il corpo di un operatore.
Con il progetto SCaVa – Stereo Camera Validation, questo sistema verrà testato attraverso un metodo di validazione in base alle più recenti normative europea in tema di sicurezza. Tale approccio rappresenta una chiave di volta nella validazione dell’interazione sicura tra robot e lavoratori in fabbrica, nel rispetto degli standard di sicurezza esistenti.
Le soluzioni SCaVa sono state adattate secondo le metodologie offerte dal progetto COVR e in collaborazione con il STIIMA-CNR di Milano e permetteranno di sviluppare un nuovo protocollo per testare e convalidare le stereocamere secondo la normativa europea attuale.
SCaVa è finanziato all’interno dei COVR Awards, bando promosso dal progetto COVR e finanziato dal Programma Horizon 2020, coordinato dal Danish Technology Institute e partecipato dal STIIMA-CNR.

SCaVa – Validation of the safe interaction between Robots and workers in the industrial environment
The efficient and safe collaboration between humans and robots is meant to assume an increasingly central role in the European manufacturing industry. Thanks to the combined use of mechatronic solutions and optical detection systems, Datalogic SpA has developed an innovative protection system characterized by 2 stereo cameras capable of detecting the arm and body of an operator.
With the SCaVa – Stereo Camera Validation project, this system will be tested through a validation method based on the most recent European safety regulations. This approach represents a keystone in the validation of the safe interaction between robots and workers in the factory, in compliance with existing safety standards.
The SCaVa solutions have been adapted according to the methodologies offered by the COVR project and in collaboration with the STIIMA-CNR of Milan and will allow the development of a new protocol to test and validate stereocameras according to current European legislation.
SCaVa is funded within the COVR Awards, a call promoted by the COVR project and funded by the Horizon 2020 Program, coordinated by the Danish Technology Institute and participated by STIIMA-CNR.
