The project aims to address the challenges posed by the shift from mass production to customisation, which has created new demands on conventional production lines traditionally focused on single variants or product families.
To meet these evolving needs, the MASTERLY project seeks to develop flexible robotic solutions that can respond effectively to changing industrial demands. These solutions involve the use of modular grippers combined with state-of-the-art robotic technologies such as mobile robots, high and low load industrial or collaborative robots and intelligent cranes. Furthermore, these solutions will be enriched with advanced control and perception capabilities driven by artificial intelligence, enabling them to operate independently. They will be able to handle a wide range of parts of different sizes, shapes and materials, while ensuring the inclusion of workers of all genders.
To achieve the project’s objectives and test the proposed technologies, three end-users from different production sectors were involved. KLEEMANN will test the new technologies in the lift manufacturing sector, DECATHLON in warehouse logistics and sportswear manufacturing, and AERNNOVA in the aircraft manufacturing sector.
