Improving industrial energy efficiency at the European manufacturing level requires the integration of energy data with advanced optimisation techniques to drive business decision making.

E2COMATION intends to address the optimisation of energy use at multiple hierarchical levels of the manufacturing process, also considering the whole life cycle perspective throughout the value chain.

To this end, it aims to provide a cross-sector methodological framework and a modular technology platform to monitor, predict and evaluate the impact of a company’s behaviour across the dimensions of energy and life cycle assessment.

This will dynamically adapt and optimise not only the real-time behaviour of companies on different time scales, but also their strategic and sustainable positioning with respect to complex supply and value chains.

7. Life cycle assessment and accounting tool (LCAC) integrated into a business decision-making system.
8. Computer-aided sustainable planning (s-CAPP).
9. Supply chain management guided by life cycle analysis (SCM) and business ecosystem.
10. Multi-domain validation and impact generation on members of two distinct value chains.
