Descrizione evento
The progressive and pervasive digitisation of industry brings a paramount opportunity to enhance the productivity of manufacturing and assembly operations. In this context, state-of-the-art production systems implement Predictive Maintenance (PdM) solutions to complement preventive maintenance scheduling and avoid costly unexpected breakdowns and corrective maintenance actions.
Many successful European industries are implementing such kind of solutions to increase reliability and uptime of manufacturing equipment while reducing the associated mean time to repair. ForeSee is a cluster of six innovative R&D projects with relevant use-cases of sustainable PdM solutions across Europe. Within the cluster activity, projects’ partners are organizing a series of webinar to present the developed technologies and the related use-cases.
During this first webinar, the main aspects of Platforms and Microservices for Manufacturing PdM aspects will be presented, together with the showcase of home appliances and machine tool applications of Uptime, Serena and Programs projects.
Il webinar sarà tenuto in lingua inglese
Keynote Speech Abstract
Platforms and Microservices for manufacturing operations, Prof Sotiris Makris & Kosmas Alexopoulos
The introduction of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platforms in manufacturing is a key aspect in the context of Industry4.0 as it enables smart manufacturing implementations based on smart data from the factory floor. At the same time, Predictive Maintenance (PdM) is gaining significant attention as an important Industry4.0 enabler that contributes to the Overall Equipment Efficiency and profitability. In this presentation, we discuss the main characteristics of software architecture and the key components that state-of-the-art industrial platform have for supporting PdM operations in manufacturing industry. Platform hierarchical layers, micro-services, data communication and processing solutions will be discussed, among others.
